Fundraising Ideas!
Need some inspiration? Below we have some fun ideas for events your pupils could get stuck in with! If you would like any further help setting up your own event please contact elle.huguet@uhb.nhs.uk who can provide you with all the necessary advice, resources and materials.
Bake Sale
Ask children and their parents to bake cakes for everyone to enjoy for a donation to the charity!
Bring and Buy/Toy Stall
Organised stall for children to donate items and purchase something themselves.
Non-uniform Days – themed?
Ask your pupils for a small donation to come in their own clothes for a day! You can even theme them around Awareness days/weeks such as: Red for Heart Disease Awareness Week, Pink for Cancer Awareness Month and Purple for World Prematurity Day
Sponsored Silence
Challenge your children to do the near impossible - staying quiet for a whole day!
Sponsored Readathon
Children can be sponsored to read as much as they can in a given time; anything from books, comics and magazines, to websites - anything with words! It's the perfect opportunity for children to improve their reading skills whilst raising money for their local NHS.
Bucket collections at school functions
We would love to be able to provide you with collection buckets at parents evenings, plays, concerts and summer fetes!
Student verses teacher games!
Teams of students and teachers compete in a game such as Rounders or Football, or make it a day for the entire school by using a range of different sport events so there is something for everyone, such as egg and spoon or sack races, long jumps, relay races or obstacle courses. Charge a small fee to compete, and ask spectators to donate to the hospital charity.
