Eden and Snowdrop Bereavement Suites
The loss of a baby is indescribable. To go through such a loss leaves a lasting impact. The environment in which someone loses a child can have a huge affect on the parents, emotionally and psychologically. This is why the Charity has helped develop the bereavement suites at Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals, providing a peaceful and private environment for parents in their time of need.
The Eden and Snowdrop Bereavement Suites care for families who sadly lose their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.
The Charity supports parents going through such a difficult time by funding added extras to support them, such as decorating the rooms so they are as soothing as possible, as well as Cuddlecots to prolong the time parents have with their baby while coming to terms with their loss. Eden Suite
The Eden Suite offers the best care possible for women and their families. The experienced, highly-trained staff are always on hand to support them through their time on the suite, and continue to provide care after they leave the hospital.
The Eden Suite has been designed to provide as much privacy as possible for women and their partners, with individual ensuite rooms and a quiet garden for parents to be outside and reflect.
Heartlands Hospital Charity works to provide ‘added extras’ for the Eden Suite, from cutting-edge pieces of technology, to patient comforts and support like soothing décor to CuddleCots which keep the baby cool, extending the amount of time that parents have to spend with their baby.
Snowdrop Suite
The Snowdrop Bereavement Suite cares for those families who sadly lose their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death.
It offers the best care possible for women and their families to support them through their time on the suite, and after they leave the hospital.
Good Hope Hospital Charity works to provide ‘added extras’ for the Snowdrop Suite, complementing the amazing quality of care given by the staff. The Charity has been able to fund CuddleCots for the suite which keep the baby cool, extending the amount of time that parents have to spend with their baby.
