Supporting Patients And Staff At Christmas
We support patients, families and staff throughout the year at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Heartlands Hospital, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital, but we are particularly conscious of the need to give that extra support and comfort at Christmas.
Help us provide Christmas treats for patients and staff to share on Christmas Day, purchase a toy for poorly children undergoing treatment and decorate our hospitals to generate some festive cheer. Support our patients and staff by donating to our Christmas Appeal and brighten spirits during the festive period.
Bringing that festive magic to our hospitals this Christmas
Being in hospital is never easy, especially at Christmas time. Our hospitals are still extremely busy during this period and our amazing staff continue to work incredibly hard to provide the best care and support to patients and their families. Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, Heartlands Hospital Charity, Good Hope Hospital Charity and Solihull Hospital Charity want to spread some festive cheer by providing treats for patients and staff to share, Christmas trees for our hospitals, and gifts for poorly children spending Christmas on a ward.
But to do this …we need your help!
Here are some of the ways in which you can get involved and support us this Christmas:
If you want to create your own fundraiser, like host a party, bake sale or pub quiz, we can help you set up a fundraising page or you can link it to our Christmas Appeal: Justgiving page. Let us know by emailing: charities@uhb.nhs.uk
CHRISTMAS CARDS: We have some new Christmas Card designs for you to send to your friends and loved ones while raising money for your hospital charity. You can buy them at our Charity Hubs at QE, Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull Hospitals between 11am-2pm.
CHRISTMAS CHOIRS: We love spreading festive cheer at our four hospitals so make sure you join us in December for a chance to hear schools and community groups lifting everyone's spirits with their merry tunes. Click on the site links below to see the dates and times:
