NHS Big Tea 2025

Join your local hospital charity in celebrating 77 years of the NHS.

This year we're marking 77 years of the NHS and would love you to join in the celebrations.

There are many ways in which you can show your appreciation for our NHS superheroes, from hosting a tea party with your family and friends to holding a ‘Wear it Blue’ day at your office or school.

We will be holding Big Tea events at our four hospitals sites in the weeks around the NHS birthday on 5th July to raise vital funds to help our patients and their families during their time in hospital; giving them the support they need as well as the staff.

At home, in the office, at school...

If you want to host your own Big Tea event at home, work, school or community group – you can do it on 5 July or any other time during this year, and we will support you by providing a Big Tea party pack, containing all the materials you need to host your event. You’ll just need some tea and cake!

To get your Big Tea Party Pack sent out to you, email us on charities@uhb.nhs.uk or call 0121 371 4852.

If you are a company, school or community group, you can also go one step further and make a donation to have your logo printed on a large cake that will support one of our departments own Big Tea events and your details shared on our socials.

5 mins for £5:

If you can’t host your own event, not to worry, you can show your support by taking five minutes to enjoy a tea break and donate £5 to UHB Charity. You can then tag five friends or family members on social media asking them to do the same. Don’t forget to tag us in as well @UHBCharity
