Charity Skydive 2024

Come and join the hospital charity for a once in a lifetime experience, where you can step towards the ultimate daredevil thrill – the tandem skydive!

You will be securely attached to an experienced Tandem Instructor who takes charge of vital functions such as opening the parachute and landing safely. You will then fly to between 10,000-15,000 feet and exit the aircraft. The free-fall will take around 30 - 45 seconds before the parachute is deployed. In no time at all you will have reached the ground with a soft landing! You will also receive a free charity hoodie of your choice at the end of the event.

The skydives take place at Hinton-in-the-Hedges Airfield, Brackley, Northamptonshire.

How do I book?

• Simply email us at charities@uhb.nhs.uk to check availability for a date that suits you.
• There is then a £50 deposit with a minimum of £400 in sponsorship for your chosen hospital charity.
• Once you've purchased your deposit, we will send you sponsorship forms and registration details, these must be completed in order to confirm your place.
• If you are from a company/organisation that are interested in holding a team skydive we are able to cater for large group bookings too, great for team building, and we can allocate you your own private day. Have fun whilst raising for a cause that means a lot to you with our Corporate Skydives.

Jackie Rowland, a nurse at UHB decided to participate in memory of her friends who lost their life to cancer, and said:
