Each year, the Neonatal Unit at Heartlands Hospital cares for thousands of babies and their families. Thanks to gifts in wills, Heartlands Hospital Charity is able to provide the most advanced medical equipment, over and above NHS funding.

Gifts in wills have also helped fund the Eden Suite, a peaceful and private environment for parents who have sadly lost their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death.

Sairah was sadly told at the 20-week scan that her daughter, Meena, had passed away. Her late grandfather, Faizal, chose to support the Eden Suite with a gift in his will. Sairah said,
