Patient raises £500 in a sponsored walk with friends

In October 2015 Deborah Harper from Wolverhampton was admitted to the QEHB for a life saving operation following a bleed on the brain. Affecting her left side, Deborah feared she would never walk again. One year on and Deborah, along with some of her friends completed a sponsored walk near where she lives raising a fantastic £500. Here she is pictured presenting the cheque to Sophie Carroll, Fundraising Assistant, with her grandaughter, Amelia-Rose, who she says is one of the reasons she kept fighting. Cathryn Worth, Senior Fundraiisng Officer commented: "To walk the furthest distance she has been able to walk since her operation is an incredible achievement and to raise £500 in doing so is fantastic. We are really grateful for their support."
