Thousands raised for cancer and brain surgery patients

Nicola Hancox-Parkes has been the driving force behind a flurry of fundraising activities which have included everything from bake sales to cycle rides. Supported by her family and friends £1,897 has been raised for CIIC (Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy Centre) and £1,262 was raised for the Neurosurgery Ward.

Nicola was joined at a cheque presentation by her husband, Ryan, daughter Victoria (who had raised over £400 all by herself) and younger daughter, Alivia. Friends, Leanne and Daniel Cruickshanks with daughter, Isabelle, also joined them for the cheque presentation to Clinical Nurse Specialist in neuro-oncology, Claire Goddard, and Fundraising Assistant, Sophie Carroll.

Cathryn Worth, Senior Fundraising Officer, said: “I am so pleased that Nicola’s fundraising campaign has been so successful and it’s great to see the support of her family and friends alongside her. They all have a number of reasons why they wanted to fundraise for the QEHB Charity and we are incredibly grateful for their support.”
