Making a Difference for Patients, Families, and Staff
From the moment life begins, we’re here for every patient, from newborn babies right the way up to specialist care for older people.
Solihull Hospital is also home to the Solihull Haematology and Oncology Day Unit treating patients going through cancer.
Solihull Hospital Charity works at the hospital to support patients, families and staff by providing those ‘added extras’ that cannot be provided by the NHS.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer our supporters the ability to specify a ward or department that they wish to fundraise for, as well as supporting the hospital as a whole.

Mobile Dental Unit
The Mobile Dental Unit is a vital service we have funded to change the way that children view the dentist, making it less daunting and scary whilst significantly improving their oral hygiene for the future.
The Solihull Hospital Community Dentists currently visit schools around the Solihull borough to ensure that children with the highest levels of tooth decay and the lowest attendance rates with local dentists still receive the best dental care possible.
Older People
Our hospital Charities for Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull Hospitals and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, are dedicated to supporting patients from premature babies to our older patients across these four hospital sites.
For our older patients, we support the wards by funding various activities to help them during treatment. We provide interactive games to encourage communication and aid memory.
Supporting The NHS
Help us support our NHS by showing your appreciation for the service it provides.
You can raise money for the QE, Heartlands, Good Hope or Solihull Hospitals by getting involved with our many events, or you can fundraise in your own way, like hosting your own Big Tea event which we celebrate at our hospitals every year on the anniversary of the NHS on the 5 July.
The Solihull Hospital Charity plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience at Solihull Hospital.
We go above and beyond what the NHS can provide, funding additional equipment, specialist services and improvements to the hospital environment to make a real difference to patients' lives. From helping mothers create a calm and positive birthing experience in the Midwifery Led Unit to supporting premature babies in the Neonatal Unit, the charity's contributions touch every corner of the hospital.
