Charity ball raises funds for Neonatal Unit at Heartlands
Siobhan Devlin decided to hold a charity fundraising ball for the Neonatal Unit at Heartlands Hospital after both of her sons were treated there after being born at 35 and 36 weeks.
The mother-of-two joined up with her colleagues from Lloyds Bank to hold a Charity Ball at the Park Regis Hotel which raised a huge £3,200 for the Neonatal Unit! Siobhan is hoping that Lloyds Bank will match her fundraising efforts so far which will take her total to £6,400!
Siobhan said: “I’m happy to say we had an amazing evening at the Park Regis and we managed to raise £3200 for the Newborns in Need Appeal!
“I’m really happy that we managed to raise so much for the unit as both of my boys were supported by the unit as they were born at 35 and 36 weeks. I know the strength it takes for the parents and families of premature babies to deal with the situation.
Siobhan wants to continuing supporting the babies, families and staff at the hospital over the next year and is hoping to reach her huge fundraising target of £10,000!
Sian Averill, Fundraising Manager for Heartlands Hospital Charity, said: “A huge well done goes to Siobhan for organising this amazing event and raising so much money for the Neonatal Unit at Heartlands.
“All of the money raised will go towards added extras for the babies that are born and treated on the Neonatal Unit and their families, the money will also help the staff that see the ward every day and support the babies and families on the unit.”
