Chauhan family donates £1,500 to Critical Care
The Chauhan family, from Solihull, have kindly donated £1,500 in support of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Critical Care Unit, following their father's treatment on the ward last year.
The family were very thankful for the support and care that their father received, the one-to-one care that the nurses offered, and the kindness shown to them as a family during a difficult time.
The family decided to use the money to purchase four TV’s for the ward, which are are on stands so can be easily transported between patients, helping to keep them entertained during their stay in hospital.
Head of Fundraising, Justine Davy, said: “The support of the Charity by families who have been through a traumatic time is very humbling, and the TV’s will benefit many patients who stay on the Critical Care ward for years to come. The nurses on the ward care very deeply for the patients, but also remember the families and take time to look after their emotional needs too. Mrs Chauhan told me that in her eyes the nurses are 'angels'."
