Choir concert brings in donations to the tune of £500
Luke Millard and his rock and pop choir DYnamics put on a concert to raise money for The Giles’ Trust and raised an incredible £519.31 which will go towards supporting patients with brain tumour at QEHB.
Held at the Mill Theatre in Sedgley, the 140-strong DYnamics, Dudley’s largest pop choir made up of people of all ages, treated the audience to hits such as Purple Rain and Sweet Child of Mine.
Luke, who is the Company Directory of DYnamics was inspired to raise money for The Giles’s Trust following treatment that he received at QEHB for a brain tumour. He said: “I wanted to give something back to the hospital following the excellent treatment that I have received. It’s great that the money we raised will go towards research into brain tumours at QEHB.
“Everyone in DYnamics had great fun putting on the concert, singing some of our favourite songs all whilst raising money for a really important cause. I look forward to hearing more about the excellent work that The Giles’s Trust does in the future.”
Fundraising Hub Assistant at QEHB Charity Jess Harris said: “It was wonderful to meet Luke and hear about his amazing fundraising efforts with DYnamics.
"They have raised an incredible amount of money which will go a long way in supporting the important work of The Giles’ Trust in researching brain tumours and supporting patients here at QEHB.”
