George and Florence continue their fundraising mission

Back in June, we brought you the news of George and Florence Bannister, aged seven and five, who had raised £250.61 for staff and patients at Good Hope Hospital by setting up a shop outside their home in Sutton Coldfield.

The siblings have been hard at work since then, and have now raised a further £210 by holding a charity bingo month. This has involved the pair hosting bingo games, via video call, for friends and family.

Florence and George have now raised £460 for staff and patients at Good Hope Hospital, helping University Hospitals Birmingham Charity to continue supporting the hospital community through the pandemic.

Their mum, Victoria, said: “It has been a bit cold to be running an outdoor shop, so they decided to hold a virtual event instead. They have had a great time doing it and we’re all delighted that they have managed to raise so much money in support of our local hospital.”

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, said: “Thank you George and Florence for your wonderful fundraising efforts. Thanks to your support we will be able to continue to support our staff and patients at this difficult time.”
