Local Hospital Charities in Birmingham Celebrate NHS 76 With Tea Party Plans

This 4 July UHB Trust hospitals are celebrating 76 years of the NHS and the amazing work that the staff do, by hosting an NHS Big Tea.

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, Heartlands Hospital Charity, Good Hope Hospital Charity, and Solihull Hospital Charity are hosting Big Tea events across all four sites to mark the occasion, celebrating the amazing work the NHS staff do to help their patients.

Big Tea events are being held on the 4 July 10 am to 2 pm at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Good Hope Hospital and Solihull Hospital. Heartlands Hospital are hosting their celebration on the 5 July.

The Big Tea celebrations include a variety of activities across the hospitals from cake sales, and fun challenges for prizes.

Mike Hammond, Charity Chief Executive said: “The 76th celebration is a reminder to all of us of the amazing work NHS staff do every day to support patients and their families. Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, Heartlands Hospital Charity, Good Hope Hospital Charity, and Solihull Hospital Charity are keen to mark the occasion with a proper celebration and get as many people involved as possible.”

The charities have also launched the 76-mile challenge - and are asking people to walk, run, wheel, or cycle 76 miles in July and fundraise for them so they can continue to support patients, and their families while they are treated as well as the staff who look after them.
