Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust supports local NHS Superheroes

Every day life is changing quite quickly due to COVID-19, and our NHS staff are working harder than
ever to provide the best possible care to those who need it the most.

We have had lots of requests from members of staff at Good Hope Hospital asking for items to help
them support and care for their patients including; iPads so patients can video call their families, and
reclining chairs so exhausted members of staff can rest in between their lengthy shifts.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust, Good Hope Hospital Charity
has been awarded a grant of £9,500 to help with these items that will help staff care for the Sutton
Coldfield community.

Ernie Murray, Chief Executive of Sutton Coldfield Charitable Trust, said: “We are delighted to award
Good Hope Hospital Charity with a grant of £9,500 towards the cost of iPads for patients to video
call their families and reclining chairs for staff to rest on between shifts during this uncertain time.

“Thank you to all of our NHS workers who are working incredibly hard through this outbreak.”

The Charitable Trust has improved lives of generations of people in Sutton Coldfield for many years,
with its core priority to extend benefits to those in the greatest need to reflect changing times and
needs.

Laura Power, Fundraising Manager for Good Hope Hospital Charity, said: “The current situation is
extremely challenging for our NHS staff and they are working incredibly hard to make sure that their
patients are receiving the very best care.
