The Aston Villa Independent Supporters Club (AVISC) have raised a huge £1,000 for Ward 19 at Heartlands Hospital.

Ward 19 is the specialist cancer unit at Heartlands Hospital which treats patients suffering from a wide range of cancers including breast, leukaemia, lung and prostate cancer. Aston Villa Independent Supporters Club based in Sutton Coldfield have raised more than £2,600 over the past three years for Ward 19 after their late friend and Aston Villa Independent Supporters Club member “England Dave” received treatment between 2015-2016 before passing away. The club raised the money through silent auctions, donations and the annual end of season party.

Sian Averill, Fundraising Manager at Heartlands Hospital said: “Thank you to Mark and all the members of Aston Villa Independent Supporters Club for continuing to raise such a substantial amount of money for Ward 19. Funding such as this will be able to provide the hospital’s cancer patients with a more comfortable environment whilst they are undergoing their treatments, added extras such as this would not be possible without our fundraisers’ support, thank you so much”
