During a 3-hour session, you will practice surgical techniques involved in hemitransfixion incision, raising mucopericondral flaps, septal reconstruction, osteotomies, spreader graft and tip refinement in rhinoplasty surgery (closed or open approaches possible).
Expected experience:
The Rhinology Artificial Model Courses can be tailored to suit the needs of an individual learner’s experience and are suitable for trainees at any stage of training. For those that are new to Septorhinoplasty or Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery it offers the benefit of learning surgical skills whilst enhancing your understanding of relevant anatomy. For more experienced trainees, the courses offer opportunities to refine technique and learn more nuanced approaches. Repeated practice with artificial models will extend your understanding of anatomy required for FRCS examination and clinical practice.
Please note that certain Septorhinoplasty dates are dedicated towards OMFS/Plastic Surgery trainees only, these are indicated in the booking options above. Nevertheless, if you cannot make the dates dedicated to your specialty, please get in touch and we will see if we are able to accommodate you.
