Access Self Storage supports patients at Christmas

The annual Access Self Storage Christmas Charity Appeal is now open, with residents and businesses invited to drop off any new or un-used gifts - large or small - for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity.

QEHB Charity strives to support individuals and organisations by providing additional equipment, research and facilities at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Generous locals are challenged to beat last year’s national collection, which saw more than 500 presents, including tinned and packaged foods, games, books, toys, clothing and even home-made creations given to charity.

Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity, said: “It’s such a heartwarming start to the Christmas season to hear that Access Self Storage Selly Oak has chosen us to receive gifts collected by the store. The generous donations by families, individuals and businesses in our community give a huge boost to the people we care for.”

Access Self Storage Selly Oak Store Manager Deslynn Barter said: “Our staff selected the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity to receive donations from this year’s collection because we really believe in the great work it does.”

Barter continued: “The acts of kindness that the collection inspires is a reminder to everyone that there are people out there who really care, and who are happy to put a smile on someone’s face they haven’t even met, simply because it’s Christmas.”

All donations may be left at the reception of Access Self Storage Selly Oak where they will be stored safely until they are delivered to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity after the 12th of December.
