An "eggciting" day for the hospital patients!

Special Easter deliveries were made across the wards for older people at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with delicious hot cross buns and chocolate Easter Eggs for patients and staff being handed out thanks to Sunrise Senior Living UK, providers of residential care and assisted living.

Ted Richardson, Director of Community Relations joined Senior Fundraising Officer for QEHB Charity, Sophie Carroll to hand out the sweet treats. The delicious hot cross buns and chocolate eggs went down well with patients and staff alike, bringing smiles to many of the hospital's older patients.

To celebrate the Easter holidays the older person’s ward, West One, held a fancy tea party! Patients all gathered to munch on yummy cakes and chocolate whist watching the talented nine year old Neda Jafari perform a tap dance show. The patients were provided with delicious Hot Crossed Buns and Easter Eggs by Sunrise Senior Living.

Senior Sister, Alicia Gordon said: "Thank you so much to Ted for supplying the older patients with a seasonal gift. It certainly bought a smile to their faces. It will made such a huge difference to the patients that are unable to go home to their families this Easter weekend!”
