Belmont Healthcare supporting elderly patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham this Christmas

Belmont Healthcare, a home health care service based in the Shirley, has donated £1,000 to University Hospitals Birmingham Charity which will help the Charity to support elderly patients at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham this Christmas.

Belmont Healthcare is a family run business, with a core belief in respect and dignity. They are a Dementia, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer's focused care group who support the elderly in a residential setting or in their own homes. They consist of multiple Care Services supporting Daily Care, Long term and Respite Residential Care and Home Care Services supporting those in their own home in the local community.

This Christmas, Belmont Healthcare is supporting University Hospitals Birmingham Charity by donating £1000 towards the elderly care wards at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. This generous donation will help fund the beautifully decorated Christmas tree, which sits in the entrance of the building to these wards, and the luxurious hampers which will be delivered for staff and patients to enjoy over the festive period. It will also fund activities for the elderly patients to do on the wards during Christmas.

Adam Hutchison, Managing Director of Belmont Healthcare said: “"We have chosen to support these great units at these four hospitals to champion the amazing work they carry out in their field. Belmont @ Home aims to also support the local community by enabling care in the home whether that be rehabilitation or support"

Ellie Pocock, Fundraising Officer at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity said: “We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Adam, and Belmont Healthcare for their extremely generous donation this Christmas!
The trust will have a lot of elderly patients spending Christmas in hospital, and this year will be particularly difficult with patients unable to receive visits from loved ones. The kind donation from Belmont Healthcare will help us spread some festive cheer in our hospitals this Christmas and make this year that little bit more special!”
