Bumper toy delivery to bring joy this Christmas

A team from Access Self Storage in Selly Oak have made an incredible delivery to the hospital that will bring joy to children across the hospital this Christmas.

The mountain of toys and games were donated as part of the Access Self Storage Christmas Charity Appeal which has worked with QEHB Charity to provide Christmas presents for children in hospital over the festive period. The toys and games have been donated by Access customers, as well as The Works in Stirchley and West Mercia Police.

Store Manager Deslynn Barten and Customer Sales Adviser Julian Hamilton came along to Fisher House to drop off the toys and games which will be given to children across the hospital site. Deslynn said: "It was fantastic to come along to Fisher House and drop off the incredible supply of toys and games that have been donated.

"Many of the toys came from the customers at Access Self Storage Selly Oak, huge thanks also go to The Works in Stirchley for their kind donation. My husband Nigel works for West Mercia Police and when he found out about the appeal he got his colleagues involved so thanks also go to them."

Sophie Carroll, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity said: "Thanks so much to the team from Access and all those who have kindly donated the toys and games. Christmas is a special time of year for children but the reality for some is that this year, Christmas will be spent at hospital.

"These toys will go to children across the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham who will be in hospital on Christmas Day, be that as a patient, visiting a family member in A&E, or staying in the home away from home for military patients, Fisher House.

"Thanks to this incredible donation, Christmas will be made a little better for all of the children at QEHB over the festive period."
