Enterprise Rent-a-Car give to two QEHB Charity funds

(L-R: Kay Parbat; Sam Patel; Justine Davy; Sian Averill; Gavin Cunjamalay) The philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which, through its regional subsidiaries, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands has made a generous donation to QEHB Charity, in support of both Fisher House and the Critical Care Unit (CCU). Three managers from the Birmingham region visited Fisher House on Tuesday 8 December to present Justine Davy, Head of Fundraising at QEHB Charity, along with Fundraising Officer Sian Averill, with a cheque for £2,000. Kay Parbat, Sam Patel and Gavin Cunjamalay visited Fisher House to see first-hand an example of the important work their vital donation will support. The £2,000 donation will be divided equally between Fisher House, the charity’s ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families, and the hospital’s Critical Care Unit. Enterprise Rent-a-Car (ERAC) Birmingham has been proudly supporting Fisher House for two years. They are also long-standing supporters of CCU after Jasmini Parbat, the wife of ERAC Public Sector Development Manager Kay, sadly passed away in November 2013 at the age of 38. Justine said: “This generous donation will help us continue to provide much-needed support for injured and ill servicepeople and their families, as well as for the patients and staff on CCU. We are really grateful to Enterprise Rent-A-Car for their ongoing support.” Fisher House is QEHB Charity’s ‘home away from home’ for military patients and their families on the same site as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, which is where the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine is based. Fisher House provides a comforting space away from the wards, where families of military patients can stay while their loved ones receive inpatient treatment in the hospital.
