Members of staff from the Cancer Services department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham decided to hold a fundraising day in aid of QEHB Charity’s Christmas Campaign on Sunday, 6th December, at the Man and the Moon pub in Kings Norton.
The fundraising day included a raffle, which contained items such as a £100 cash prize and a tv, a candy floss stall, games, face painting, Santa’s Grotto, Krispy Kremes, as well as a professional singer. The singer performed a variety of songs, from Christmas classics through to current pop.
Paula Mitchell, Head of Cancer Services at the QE, drew the raffle.
Sian Averill, Fundraising Officer at QEHB Charity, said, “It is always great to see the hospital staff getting involved with fundraising in spite of their busy schedules. Gerry Grandon and Nicola Mcgowan from Cancer Services did a fantastic job in organising this fundraising day, and on behalf of the charity I extend my warmest thanks.”
