Run for Brum in the Birmingham International Marathon

Calling all runners! In 2017, the Birmingham International Marathon will take place in the city, for the first time ever!

The 26.2 mile event, which will take place on Sunday 15 October, will be a great opportunity for new and experienced runners alike, starting at the Alexander Stadium and finishing in Birmingham City Centre.

With music lining the route and themed miles celebrating the cultural diversity of Birmingham, this is your chance to join in celebrating all that is great about Birmingham!

Running for Brum and supporting the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) Charity, means you can help to support military and transplant patients, children and young people with cancer, patients with rare diseases and many others.

QEHB Charity Chief Executive, Mike Hammond, said: “We are really excited for the arrival of Birmingham’s first International Marathon and we’re looking forward to the race, which is sure to be a fantastic day!

“The QEHB sees over one million patients every year from across Birmingham and the West Midlands. Why not challenge yourself and take on the Birmingham International Marathon, whilst supporting Birmingham’s International hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham?”

Entries to the run will open in autumn 2016, so sign up to the reminder service now to be notified when entries are officially open for the big day. To sign up, please click here. For more information about supporting QEHB Charity, please call Laura Power on 0121 371 4852.
