The Enterprise Holdings Foundation donates £1,000 to support families at Fisher House

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which, through its regional subsidiaries, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, has once again generously donated £1,000 to Fisher House, the home away from home for military patients and their families at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Kay Parbat, Strategic Transportation Consultant for the West Midlands, (Enterprise Rent-A-Car) nominated Fisher House to receive the grant after having spent time in the hospital with his wife, and talking to families who were staying in Fisher House.

Kay said: “Sadly I spent a lot of time in hospital before my wife passed away, and I know what a difference having a more homely environment would have made to myself and my family. Having spent time with families who were using the house, the way they described it was so inspiring to me. I visited and saw first-hand what a peaceful environment, and so I chose Fisher House to help even more families to enjoy the comfort during such a difficult time.”

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation has been supporting Fisher House for almost four years now and has already donated over £40,000, Kay presented the cheque to Mike Hammond, Chief Executive of the Charity and Patrick Hogan, Fisher House Manager.

Mike Hammond, Chief Executive of QEHB Charity said: “Thank you to Kay, and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation for your continued support of Fisher House. Your donations allow the Charity to continue to provide free accommodation to military families whilst their loved ones are staying at the hospital.”
