Thrill-seeking fundraisers raise incredible amount for the Cancer Centre and Fisher House
Two of our wonderful fundraisers took on yet another challenge to get their hearts racing, all in the name of charity.
Corinne Bayliss and TJ Parsons recently embarked on a joint bungee jump, an adventure that definitely got their blood pumping. This daring pair are no stranger to exciting challenges as they have already previously completed two Charity skydives.
NHS worker, Corinne, told us that she “likes setting myself a challenge and I especially like things that are a little different, plus it’s for a good cause.”
Their most recent adventure raised a fantastic total of £939, helping to make that vital difference to staff, patients and families.
This incredible amount raised will be split between the Cancer Centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and Fisher House. The Cancer Centre holds a special place for both Corinne and TJ as Corinne was treated there for cancer in 1984. TJ also has family who have been treated there. They decided that they wanted to give something back to the Centre that has impacted on both of their lives and provides excellent care for the patients that they treat. They also decided to support Fisher House, a home away from home for military patients and their families, to show their support for our amazing troops.
UHB Charity is so appreciative of all our amazing fundraisers, like Corinne and TJ, who truly help us to make a difference across our hospitals. If you fancy taking part in a Charity activity that is sure to get your heart racing, then check out the exciting range of events we have, here.
