Saving Lives, One Donation at a Time
Heartlands Hospital Charity is so grateful to our amazing donors and fundraisers for helping us support our patients, their families and staff and ultimately save lives.
From life-saving equipment to supporting a patient's wellbeing during treatment, Heartlands Hospital Charity supports patients and their families by going over and above what the NHS can provide as standard.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer our supporters the ability to specify a ward or department that they wish to fundraise for, as well as supporting the hospital as a whole.

Children and Young People
To help our young patients when they arrive at our Children's Units we want to make them feel as relaxed as possible. This not only helps the children but the family and staff as well.
We decorate our Children's Wards and Departments with bright, colourful walls and supply toys for them to play with. It's thanks to our wonderful donors and fundraisers, that we have been able to transform the cold clinical wards into welcoming environments for the 120,000 young patients we see every year.

Heartlands Home Away From Home
It can be a traumatic time for parents whose babies need urgent care because they are sick or born prematurely.
Having a place to stay within two minutes of the Neonatal ward takes the stress away and means they can be with their loved ones all hours of the day. It makes it easier for mum’s needing to breastfeed and parents doing skin to skin, which is so important for baby’s development helping them get better quicker and bond with their mum and dad.

Newborns In Need
Each year we care for thousands of babies some of whom are born up to four months early and weigh as little as one pound.
An average of one in ten newborn babies need the support of the neonatal units across Good Hope and Heartlands. The unit also takes babies from across the whole region. The Neonatal Unit provides 24-hour care using dedicated breathing machines, incubators and state-of-the-art monitoring machines.

Children's Star Appeal
Sponsor a star for a year and help support our youngest patients.
Our hospitals treat over 120,000 children each year. Being in hospital can be an extremely scary and overwhelming experience for our youngest patients. By sponsoring a star and supporting the hospital charity, you can help make their time in hospital less stressful and as comfortable as possible.
How sponsoring a star works...
- Make a donation to the hospital charity of £250 or more.
- Choose what name you would like on your star.
- Your star will be displayed on the wall for 1 year.
- We will send you your star as a keepsake at the end of the sponsorship year.
